Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: December 1st, 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Hopeful Hands, a non-medical home care agency, and the relationship between the agency and its clients. By engaging our services, clients agree to the following terms:

1. Services Provided

  • Helpful Hands provides non-medical home care services, including personal assistance, companionship, homemaking, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, and related support.

  • Services are outlined in the Service Agreement and customized care plan for each client.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding health, mobility, allergies, medications, and other relevant personal information.

  • Notify Helpful Hands promptly of any changes that may affect care or safety.

  • Treat caregivers with respect and provide a safe environment for care.

3. Scheduling & Attendance

  • Services are scheduled in advance and documented in the care plan.

  • Clients must notify Helpful Hands of cancellations or rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance, whenever possible.

  • Helpful Hands reserves the right to adjust schedules in cases of emergency, caregiver illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Payment Terms

  • Services are billed according to the Service Agreement.

  • Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise arranged in writing.

  • Late payments may result in suspension of services until the account is current.

5. Liability

  • Helpful Hands maintains liability insurance; however, the agency is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or incidents that occur due to pre-existing conditions, client negligence, or circumstances outside the agency’s control.

  • Clients assume responsibility for safety in their home environment and for following caregiver instructions.

6. Confidentiality

  • All personal and health-related information provided to Helpful Hands will be kept confidential in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Termination of Services

  • Either party may terminate services with written notice.

  • Helpful Hands may terminate services immediately if:

    • The client poses a safety risk to caregivers

    • There is repeated non-payment

    • There is harassment, abuse, or unsafe behavior

8. Changes to Terms

  • Helpful Hands reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Clients will be notified of any significant changes.

9. Acknowledgment

By receiving services from Helpful Hands, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
